Hello Year 2,
We will be providing remote learning for our pupils through the DB Primary platform. This can be accessed at: hogarth.essex.dbprimary.com. Please keep your child's username and password safe and that they do not share it with friends or family. Once your child has logged into DB Primary, they will be able to see our class home page and the allocated tasks I have set for them. Please make sure your child engages with and completes the activities so we can continue to make progress with our learning.
I am so proud 2H! I have seen some fantastic work so far and am looking forward to seeing more great things from you all!
Keep safe and keep smiling!
Miss Thurston
As a school, we will monitor the work that the children do. Although we understand how difficult the current circumstances are, it is important that every child has a daily maths, English (phonics) and topic lesson. Where possible, please follow the timetable that has been set out on DB Primary so that our children learning from home receive the same provision as those who have been offered a full-time school place (following Government Guidance).
As part of the DB Primary platform, your child will be able to use a forum to keep in touch with their friends and teachers. Please discuss the safety implications of this with your child:
As a school, our staff are working collaboratively and we have organised for key members of staff to be our administrative support. Should you have any queries or concerns, please contact:
Reception- Mrs McIntosh- EYFS@hogarth.essex.sch.uk
Year 1- Mrs Wright- awright@hogarth.essex.sch.uk
Year 2 and Year 3 – Miss Mzoumi- mmzoumi@hogarth.essex.sch.uk
Years 4, 5 and 6- Mrs Sullivan- ksullivan@hogarth.essex.sch.uk
We hope that having access to DBPrimary will be a helpful way in which you can support your child at home and that children can begin to take responsibility for furthering their own learning independently.
Reminders
We have P.E. every Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure your child has the correct, labelled kit in school and earrings are removed.
The children will have a weekly spelling test on a Monday and a times table test on a Wednesday.
Spelling homework is given out on a Monday and times tables homework is given out on a Wednesday, please keep it at home.
Reading books and records are to be left at home and only brought back to school on a Friday for an isolation period over the weekend. On Monday, the children will be able to choose a new book to take home (if their old book has been returned).
Please read with your child, preferably at least 3 times a week, and write a comment in their reading diary. Daily practice with an adult can increase their enthusiasm and help them progress even further.
