Creative Curriculum

Welcome to our Creative Curriculum learning page

The Creative Curriculum lead at Hogarth Primary School is Mrs Weston. If you have any ideas or queries relating to our creative curriculum, please email:

Our Creative Curriculum encompasses all core and foundation subjects and enables us to provide a high standard of teaching and learning. We aim to foster a life–long love of learning, through adopting a highly practical and cross–curricular approach. Our Creative Curriculum aims to deliver a twenty first century education that will equip the children with the skills required to be independent and responsible citizens.  We believe that this is the key to motivation in learning and the growth of pupils’ self-esteem and enjoyment.  The children are able to make connections between all their learning and also still meet the individual requirements as outlined in the National Curriculum.

In order to keep our school community fully informed, each class also sends out a curriculum map each term. This helps children and parents to learn around the curriculum and support the development and understanding of their child. The curriculum maps are also published termly within the Enrichment / Class Page section of our website.

Please take a look at the Hogarth class topic displays for the Autumn Term and a few examples of the work going on in class linked to our 'Creative Curriculum'. The children also celebrated 'Black History Month' in October with a special visit from the Iri Steel Band Company!
