E-Safety

We know what an amazing tool the internet can be. It allows our children to learn, create, play and interact- a touch of a keypad opens up a world of exciting possibilities.

However, we also recognise that with the world of digital technology changing all the time, and at pace, it is more important than ever that we work in partnership with families to keep our children safe both inside and outside of school. Recently, we had an e-safety event delivered by The Two John's for staff, pupils and parents to learn some tips on how to keep safe in the virtual world. Additionally, we took part in the Safer Internet Day.

Tips for staying safe online:

  • Remember to ask for help from a teacher or another adult at school, if you are having any problems online. Don't be scared to ask for help.
  • Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it.
  • Keep your private information to yourself (name, age etc) and never share this information with somebody you only know online.
  • If you are concerned about someone’s online behaviour towards you, report it to the CEOP.
  • If you or anyone you know is worried about Child Exploitation, Online Protection or anything related to Internet safety please click the link to the CEOP.
