It has been wonderful to see the children return to school, following their remote (home) learning. It has been lovely to see so many smiling faces again - the children have quickly settled and been happy to return. Please look back at your webpage regularly, as this will be updated with news and photographs of the children learning.

DB Primary - Homework
We will be continuing to use DB Primary: hogarth.essex.dbprimary.com for homework.
Activities will be set on DB Primary every Monday and would need to be completed by Friday. The times table test will be on Friday and the spelling test will be on the following Monday. Once your child has logged into DB Primary they will be able to see their class homepage and the homework tab that has been set for them.
If you require a paper copy of the homework, please make sure to inform the class teacher on Monday.
The children will be required to use the username and password that was issued to them as part of their home learning pack at the end of the Autumn term. It is important that children keep their username and password safe and that they do not share it with friends or family.
As part of the DB Primary platform, your child will be able to use a forum to keep in touch with their friends and teachers. Please discuss the safety implications of this with your child:
We have P.E. every Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure your child has the correct, labelled kit in school and earrings are removed.
Times Tables and Spelling Tests
The children will have their weekly Times Tables and Spelling Bee tests on a Friday and will have their spelling test on the following Monday.
Reading books and records are to be left at home and only brought back to school on a Friday for an isolation period over the weekend. On Monday, the children will be able to choose a new book to take home (if their old book has been returned).
Please read with your child, preferably at least 3 times a week, and write a comment in their reading diary. Those children who continue to do so will be rewarded at the end of the term. Daily practice with an adult can increase their enthusiasm and help them progress even further.
