I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break and the children were able to rest their brains ready for a new, exciting Summer Term of learning. As before I will update this page every Friday with photos of the children's learning throughout the week so please continue to have a look.
Please note that our P.E sessions have changed slightly, they will now be on Mondays and Wednesday so please come fully equipped and remove all earrings. Boys and girls with long hair will need to tie it back, so bring in a bobble.
We will be providing weekly homework for our pupils through the DB Primary platform from now on. I will upload their work every Monday ready for their spelling and times table test on a Friday. This can be accessed at: hogarth.essex.dbprimary.com If you still require a paper copy of the homework I will need to know on the Monday of each week.
The children will be required to use the username and password that was issued to them as part of their home learning pack at the end of the autumn term.
It is important that children keep their username and password safe and that they do not share it with friends or family.
Once your child has logged into DB Primary they will be able to see the homepage and the homework tab that I have set for them. I will also upload any extra intervention work that I feel your child may benefit from completing so please do check.
As part of the DB Primary platform, your child will be able to use a forum to keep in touch with their friends and teachers. Please discuss the safety implications of this with your child:
We hope that having access to DB Primary will be a helpful way in which you can support your child at home and that children can begin to take responsibility for furthering their own learning independently.
Reminders
We have P.E. every Monday and Wednesday. Please ensure your child has the correct, labelled kit in school and earrings are removed.
Homework will be set on DB Primary on a Monday unless a paper copy is required but please keep this at home. The children will be tested on their spellings and times tables every Friday.
Reading books and diaries will be given out on a Monday and need to stay at home all week. Please bring them both back on a Friday. Please read with your child as often as possible at home and write a comment in their reading diary. Daily practice with an adult can increase their enthusiasm and help them progress even further.
